DAILY NEWS Reporter, 22nd April 2009 @ 10:27 (http://www.dailynews.co.tz/sports/?n=1478).
The fate of Tanzanian wing wizard Mrisho Ngasa in England where he was invited to attend a two-week trial with the Premier League side West Ham United remains unclear. Initial reports from England early this week claimed that the Yanga sensational has been rejected by the club after few days of preliminary tests and as a result he was looking on other options.

Further reports said that Ngasa’s agent, Yusuf Bakhressa who organized the players’ trip to London decided to take him to another Premier League club Fulham, owned by Mohammed Al Fayed for trials. The report was then substantiated by Israel Saria, a Tanzanian journalist currently working for BBC, who informed TBC1 on Tuesday that the player was no longer holding trials with the London based club.

West Ham wrote to Ngasa’s club Yanga last month expressing their interest to host the player for a two-week trial.

According to a letter signed by West Ham United secretary P.R. Barnes the club was ready to incur all expenses for the player's stay in England till the end of the trial. In case this move will fail to materialize it will be the second time, the Taifa Stars mercurial winger sees his dream to play professional football in European countries end up in smoke. Before West Ham invitation, he was first approached by Lov-Ham of Norway, but the move hit a snag after the Norwegian club messed up with transfer procedures for not involving his club in the process.
